SummaryCould Try Harder

Also known as a dinky or dink in Australia, often fun, although I have seen some pretty nice injuries from them. Don't try to dinky down steps, it's just a recipie for disaster.

I know quite a few fit Waynes, but you're right about the Glenns. Every Glenn I know is short, fat, and wears glasses and roleplays.

For a moment, reading your submission, I thought "Roleplays" were a kind of shoe. Maybe they should be.

Also goes by the similar name of Barleys, like this -
"But I was barleys!"
"No you weren't, there's no barleys!"
"But I was barleys!"
"But you can't have been, there's no barleys"
"I was so barleys..."
After which the child claiming barleys will be allowed them (if he is hard), or beaten up.

Susan says... It's not funny enough to go on the site, but read it and imagine a man in a funny hat saying "with vinegar?" at the end.

Susan says...

Chip tax is the process of whenever anyone buys chips (as in hot chips) from the canteen, anyone cool enough to say chip tax and take a chip could have one. If you weren't cool enough, you knew it, and you better not try take my chips. Obviously, the higher up the social scale you were, the more of your chips you got to eat and the less got stolen. Up the top there was a general acceptance and sharing of chips amongst the cool group. Others tried to tax but were knocked back with vigour.

CORNERS!!!!!!!!

The scream of corners is always accompanied by the back row of the bus all leaning into the corner you are going round, pummelling the small boy at the end of the row into the wall. It paid to be a big beefy guys then, beacuse when they tried to corners me, the guys sitting next to me would lose out, cause I could push back against everyone.

It was amazing how small children could shrink to in a game of corners, such that we had 9 of us, sitting across a 5 seater back row, squeezed in, waiting for the bus to turn a corner.

The game became less popular when we broke some random year 8's arm, but that'll teach the grommet to try and cut in on our territory.

A name for us, the cool kids, whose coolright it was to occupy the back seats of any bus. This right was defended with violence and intimidation, when necessary.
It is only with hindsight that I realise that it sounds more than a little gay.
