"Hairy Holland", as she was known, used to have sideburns of Elvis proportions. We used to cut dinner break ten minutes short so that we could arrive at the classroom before her and get Daniel Holmer-Tolliday to draw a very detailed picture of her on the blackboard, usually with a hairy wart on her lip that she didn't even have. In a brave attempt to get us to stop, she would soldier through the lesson pretending she hadn't seen Tolliday's handiwork, with tears welling in her eyes.
